their CNC lathe may be overkill for this purpose.

consider buying a new and cheap lens board from :devil:bay?

A CLA should fix all that up, at least the shutter can still fire!

Just got a 210mm Fujinon, need to cut a bigger hole on my lens board though.

Anyone knows any local machining shop which can drill a bigger hole in my lens boards?

I've checked but currently they only come in Copal 0. Otherwise theres a guy doing carbon fibre lens boards but they are quite ex.

Wood cam cannot take the stress. Damping of the front standard limits it to Copal 2. (even though metal ones cannot take copal 3 well).

If you are looking at Toyo 45A, do not go for the Toyo 45CF. When the wind blow times go, you will know.
The press metal parts and carbon fibre looks cheap.

Look into the China site. There is a DIY woodcam going for about RMB1800. AKA Charmonix improved replica.

actually can take copal 3, but damn heavy and defeats the purpose of being light weight field camera.

Cannot damp the vibration from the Copal 3 shuttle. Picture is affected.
