Laptop Backpacks!

yup.. take a look around funan, i.e. funan macshop have quite some exciting stuff.
i know my recommendations could probably be a little costlier, but it depends on the user maybe.
soft sleeves like those STM, zeroshock stuff is pretty good if the lappy is hand carried, or in its own compartment, or else itself is sturdy and hard like macbooks etc.
if you use acer or ibm like my old acer/ibm, they are a little plasticky, and esp acer screens the top of the lappy is just a little soft. one of my friends had a discoloured screen just because he used a soft squishy zeroshock case, put it in his bag (which does not have a separate compartment) with books, pencil cases, water bottles and god knows what.
seems that eventually transporting in this manner with lots of gadgets pressing on the lappy resulted in the damage.
if your lappy is going into huge messenger bags with lots of barang, can consider a harder case ;p
which is another factor to consider when getting a lappy bag. check the compartment for decent rigidity and stuff.
i'm sorry i'm not in sg right now and i cant find those pictures of the dicota, its probably in one of my older hdds that i didnt bring with me. if you want to try, load your lappy into the bag at the shop and see how much space you have left in the other compartment. When the lappy is in the lappy compartment, the bag becomes "stiffened" which results in a decrease in space in the document compartment..er.. sounds confusing huh.. =P (its just like a bag can put a soccerball inside, but when you put a board or something to stiffen the back of the bag.. the ball cannot go in already.. )
another worthy backpack to look at is head porter tanker.. jappy bag.. backpack + side sling combine, looks quite nice but i forgot where to get it already.. used to be a shop arnd for porter stuff i think
