Negative. Any aircraft carrying POTUS is always cleared. The exact aircraft carrying POTUS is often unknown till just before touch down. Hence air space is closed till POTUS gets down safely. I say this with the authority of someone who has dealt with the US extensively. Cheers.

Yes, they held off everyone when AFO was landing yesterday. Didnt do the same for SAM 91 when it land though.

Negative. One 757 carried Secretary Clinton. The other did not. There were 2x militarized Boeing 757-200 that landed, one before AF1, one after. If my knowledge doesn't fail me, the first serves as a radar decoy prior to AF1's arrival. It is the same reason as to why both VC-25A take to the skies during some missions, and as proven by various landings of AF1 over numerous countries. It is the same technique used in the President's motorcade and escort entourage.

And to answer to bro sonyboy's queries, yes the Boeing 742 is Air Force One with President Obama on board. He will always travel on board AF1, unless security is a threat.

Since they left spore liao..
AFO was the first one in with the back up trailing about 30 mins behind. They were moving quite a number of people.. that perhaps might be the reason why 2 planes came along.

Most of the information can be found on the internet, over forums and even on USAF/relevant military websites. Documentaries can also be quite informative. The rest (e.g. landing locations, accommodations, entourage information) is based on my observations

Flight patterns are relatively easy to decipher, especially if there's a decoy jet (A high security jet like AF1 carrying the POTUS will definitely warrant a decoy jet at most instances.)
