Land escapism

Hi draken413o,

Wasteland and D Kay are very, very nice. Wasteland is composed and converted into B&W very well, and D Kay has a very nice, sepia-ish (yet not quite) tones.

I think Sawyer is a little.... lacking in composition though. The foreground is a bit too messy for my liking and yup the problem with shooting rocks when you can't really see the rest of the submerged rocks at the shore (if that's the word... not sure) is that the rocks seem to be floating in the middle of nowhere.

Overall, this thread has some excellent photos. Please continue to share more :)

Love this one man

I think the vertical perspective was slightly over-corrected here. Somehow the right-most block of flats seems wider at the base than the top... Maybe, as soulFLY mentioned, it has to do with your shooting position and use of UWA. The flats are close to the right-edge of the frame after all.

but the tones and the LE.... WOW... just took my breath away! :D

Hmm.. using a ruler the base and the top for me are parallel leh.. lol.. But thank you!

Hmm.. Overall the strange thing is I like sawyer alot in the shoot yesterday due to it's real feeling. Like if you just sat at the area you'd see this. I'm also learning how to balance compositional messy scenes but still feel this messy not interacting with simple feeling.. I dunno... I will continue practicing.

Rock Steady Sunset

Testing out adobe photoshop cs5 hdr pro. It's quite a good addition I feel as it makes very well balanced hdr images. However I still have to do extensive colour corrections to achieve a image that is up to standards.

But hey, the noiseless output is well worth it! =)

Thumbs up for cs5 hdr pro!

"In for the Night", "Heart of ADM" and "D kay" are awesome bro!

Attempted to shoot a plane today as I went down to Fokker Services Asia today, unfortunately no plane parked outside like the one you captured in great style .. i absolutely love the reflections and the toning you had in that image. Amazing!

Awesome shots. I likes all your work. Especially #1.

Funny how the many times I've been to Punggol end, I've never gone during low tide during sunsets.. It was quite scary seeing it like that though... Dangerous aswell at the far end due to very slippery rocks and sharp too!

Low tide as seen from the area that I am familiar with..

But i decided to venture further..

Not very epic compositions.. due to balancing on a single rock and bleeding too.. ah oh well I'll be back again someday.

The first and Farout for Punggol low-tide..very-very nice Jon :)

Hello Brother Draken413,
very nice sunset at Punggol. Shall try this place one day. Is it dangerous to go here?:)

Your shots of ADM are very, very well done. Are you studying there!

The punggol beach shots look a bit soft though.

True maybe out of focus. bleeding makes me not do some steps.. including composing and mf.. lol

haha yes bro i went punggol beach the few days back too, the water nearly blew my tripod off. i feel you'd gotten really good shots considering the high tide.. cheers!
