29-09-11: Shot of the early morning walk to the museum. It was foggy, misty and cool walk with plenty of street activities. Joggers, walkers, dog walking etc.

29-09-11: Shots taken in the Swiss Transport Museum. We watched a 30minutes 3D show that was super ex and toured around the museum looking back into the history of Swiss Transport. I think Singapore should really seriously take a look at the kind of history Swiss have with train systems and start reflecting on how to set things right with SMRT. Lol...

29-09-11: Super tokong steam engine train. So solid metallic feel.

29-09-11: These are not miniature cars and vehicles. They are real life antiques to modern day vehicles. Such effort was placed into displaying them to the public and they even have regular sessions to showcase selected vehicles by bringing them down to a central platform.

29-09-11: Although trains were the main attraction in the Swiss Transport Museum, the amount of air and sea display were not to be underestimated. The displays were very extensive. For more coverage, can go to my flickr account to view.

29-09-11: Back onto the main streets of Lucerne, aspiring musicians gathered to play their music in the streets. It's a joy to grab a bite and stop by for a moment to enjoy the music and relax.

29-09-11: A couple entering the alleys. These kind of alleys are very common here and every turn have a different view and feel about it.

29-09-11: Sun was setting very slowly and created very nice light around the Chapel Bridge. Make good of the nice lighting on the crowds and streets.

Raelly enjoy your fotos, make me want to visit there now :D
How you shoot no.188? Vry nice wor.

Yes Janet, I miss Switzerland a lot. For the shot in 188, I did an exposure of about 30+ seconds to get the wave motion smoother. Happened to see the water gushing down and probably due to the uneven riverbed, these ripple waves occurred.

29-09-11: Tele shot of 2 persons passing by each other on a bridge. The subtle lighting lit up the outline of the people, making them stand out against the buildings in the background.

29-09-11: Very coincidentally, the swans were dispersing and forming an arc shape around the chapel bridge. Pity the crop on the right hand side swans but this was the fastest I could compose before they totally dispersed.

29-09-11: Extremely lovely lighting along the alleys and this was one of my favorite street shot of the alley streets. Very hard to find a quiet corner but this was as quiet as it gets. 2 cyclists about to pass by each other with great light cast upon the cobblestone streets and buildings.

Ok, got to ask this... Where you ate in Lucerne? Am at Lucerne and the hotel fella is not helpful at all with food! We ate at Movenpick for dinner and some chain bread shop for lunch. How much was the seafood dinning?

For the 2 nights we were there, we dined at Sebastian's Seafood restaurant for the first night. As for the second night, we actually went to a nearby pasta place to takeaway some cheap and nice pasta and cold side dishes with a bottle of wine. The seafood dining was not cheap (well, everything in Lucerne is not cheap), costs me about CHF120, which is about near 180SGD tat time. I have to agree that people in Lucerne somehow are generally not as helpful as the people in South Switzerland. The people also ignored me when I asked for places to dine.

Anyway, our second dinner was much cheaper at < CHF40 for the following.

30-09-11: This shot was taken at Arth-Goldau before we board the cogwheel train up to Rigi Kulm. It was a foggy morning as autumn was coming in fast to Switzerland. The colors of the trees were changing and the foggy mornings were getting longer.

30-09-11: Once we reached, I was amazed by the thickness of the clouds even in the late morning. Sea of clouds indeed.

30-09-11: The Rigi Kulm Hotel. Approaching noon. Getting hot. Being above the clouds makes one get sunburnt easily.
