Hi william, thanks for dropping by. Ah yes, this was shot from the hotel room. It was the only hotel on Rigi Kulm and I took the cheapest room which was not facing the front. But views were nevertheless still breathtaking.

30-09-11: The backlit was really too strong and decided against taking multiple shots for blending but instead went for a silhouette shot with the chapel composed against the slopes and clouds and sunset.​

30-09-11: A 300mm close up shot of the sun setting. I have shot lots of sun setting in Singapore. All over the sea's horizon or buildings. This time, I am above shooting this magnificent egg yolk setting along the horizon of the sea of clouds. Simply lovely.​

30-09-11: Head out at about 11plus in the night to have my stargazing. It may seem non windy outside but the cold was really biting into my skin. I gave myself one hour outside in the cold to capture some stars and probably the milky way. A couple of shots of the lovely night skies.​

30-09-11: The tower was not the best subject but I notice that the occassional red light sort of lit up the night skies a little making the skies more prominent with the stars. Composed for a shot with this tower.​

30-09-11: Embarked on a 50 minutes wait for this final blended star trails shot. Shot from 90 exposures of 30seconds each, I got this final shot.​

01-10-11: Shots taken on day 12 of our honeymoon. It was a wonderful dawn to sunrise walkabout alone in the lovely Rigi Kulm. I have never seen such wonderful colors and vibrance for such extended periods of time. I walk around the entire Rigi Kulm one round and found too many angles to shoot. After breakfast we head back to Zurich and our honeymoon is about to end.

Thanks for the thumbs up. Am planning to do up some albums in near future once I got the time to consolidate and sort out the shots.

Btw, I only brought my D700 with nikon 16-35 and tamron 28-300.
