Yup, very sure. That's the promotional price meant for Clubsnap members only. You don't need to add white border yourself, just indicate to them and they can add it for you without resizing yr file or anything.

but what if I already added the white borders? It's still ok right? then if the size doesn't match 5R, they add another border around my... btw, I only added a 40 pixel border... plus my cpoyright stuffs ;)

I'm not a regular here... am I considered a member and can ask for discount price from them?

okiez! thanks alot.. so as long as I've joined CS means I'm a member huh? kkx

Hi all..

I am a converted customer. I am really impressed with the service of KT Digital. Quality is really good IMHO. Highly Recommended.

Does KT do per frame scanning? If so, how much is it?

Thanks!

Thanks!

Im referring to slides..sorry.

Hehe...yep. Called them liao. The price is really competitive!

Slides to print (4R) = $0.60 (Wondering if its authentic slides to print, or scan and print.)
Per frame slide/neg scan = $1 (didnt ask the reso tho)

And these are prices w/o telling em the magic 'im from clubsnap'. :bsmilie:

Barnie, you seem to be a regular there, does the better pricing of KT restrict to only prints?

Thanks dude!

the girl there is very polite and good service, she burn a cd for colour calibration chart for me with colour photos(softcopy) for FOC. Will recommend first timer to go...

AFAIK, service level is pretty even throughout lor. Regular, me? :dunno:
I think you are referring to some of those other CSers who have their photos put on display there. Saw quite a few travel pix this morning.

Eeeeh... anyone who went KT to print 10R recently? Do they have glossy for S10R?

i believe all slide to print is scan n print nowadays right? so their technique should be the same as other labs?

Yes, nowaday all slide are scan to prints. but the quality are differents depending on machine, scanning, software enhancement, paper.

Any questions? Speak to the lady, Ms. Lily Khor. She is quite knowledgeable and customer oriented and I have had very good service from her. For colour balance, she can make a sample print for you and you can then specify the exact colour balance you want.

Also to feed back about scans. Their high res scans (a.k.a. "16-base") are absolutely great. I gave them some Fuji NPS and superia 400 to try out. Scans were far better than any other lab I've tried. Absolutely smooth scans with excellent detail. However, 4-base scans all came out with a mildly weird texture, still much better than any other lab. Anyway, it was easily corrected using noise reduction software. I almost gave up trying to find a lab which can do good scans. I've tried 'em all... Kodak labs (KC/KJ), ColourLab, etc. All their scans were either oversharpened (=ugly pixelization artefacts and jaggies) or really grainy. KT seems to do much better than these other labs.

Hi everyone~!

Anyone has the ICC profile that used by KT Digital? Wanna to calibrate my monitor before send my digital photos for development...

Thanks ;)

Could you elaborate a little more on the differences in the machines available and those you use? as well as the difference in the scanning and paper? software enhancement also uses different software between different labs, as well as different levels of operator skill?

are services like scratch/smudge correction charged additionally?

oh sorry another question: so there is the 4- and 16-base scanning. when you do a slide-to-print at 10R / 10x15, will it be the 16-base scanning method?

what is the resolution of a 16-base scan, and what would be the printing resolution?

you mentioned glossy 10R takes 3 days, matte 10R could be done pretty fast if you guys are not busy?

thanks!

16base = 3360 x 2240
