Nah. Its not a CD.

Anyway, if you have a colour chart in softcopy, you can do it yourself. Just send the file to print and compare the print with what you see on screen. And then you adjust your monitor from there.

;)

Hehe .. i did it tat way too. Kinda like going back to basics but anyway this method works well for my eyes at least.

I don't use colour charts, though, cuz I've gotten so used to my own monitor (happens to be same as KT's) that I know what to tweak to get the desired colours on my printouts.

Yes to your second question.

Sorry, gotta go for AG13 liao.... maybe reply more later... :D

Good printouts.

Will return to the shop for my next batch developing.

Hi all

Just to help everyone who uses this lab for color calibration.

Pls refer to my post below for monitor and Fuji lab calibration.
I personally use this lab also. And using the below method.

i have their image CD and also the proofs from them as well.
But nothing beat ICC profiling. The profile is free to download. And it will work mainly across Fuji Frontier machines to a certain extent. You still need to tweak a bit for different monitors and such.

Adjusting your monitor based on printed image and your monitor wont let you have the best possible calibration. ICC can almost gurantee that as it knows what kind of color to "print" on your monitor based on Fuji machines

Just tried their service today. Very satisfied with the prints. Prior to that, I always use Konota, now will use solely KT.
Ophs. I'm not trying to be nasty here, but I tried this lab once a month back. I told them I was from clubsnap and was given 30 cents a 4R print. The photos changed out to be not what I wanted. The colors were not as rich as I wanted them to be. I questioned the staff and they claimed that my orginal prints were "like that" & they didn't do "anything". I didn't tell them I was a full-time photographer and they couldn't "bull" me around with such answers. Anyway I paid up and left. I was very disappointed with the prints because they were meant for a client. In the end, I sent the photos to Fotohub for printing at 50 cents a print. I were very pleased with Fotohub. Even when I'm back in the States, I still send my print to Fotohub for printing and delivered to my mother who lived in singapore.

I guess sometimes how a photo looks depends on individual. Some may think that "like that" is super, while others may think otherwise. Probably, my prints with KT with a sore lemon, but nevertheless, 30 cents per print is damn cheap.

hmmm...
I collected my prints from KT on Wed. What-I-wanted-was-what-I-got. No offence to anyone, but going there so often, I do get to see some "funny" characters. There are those who'd send a ton of prints and expect the lab to know exactly what they want when they do not leave any special instructions.

I've used a few FDI labs, Hotprints, Knight Photo, Pro-M and the run-of-mill neighbourhood labs. And what I strongly advise CSers is to tell the lab exactly what you want, especially in the area of adjustments. Personally, I am very explicit on "no adjustments" and printing my images to "fit-in/fill-in/no-resize".

So for CSers who are sending your prints to the labs, be clear about what you want. Some Frontier labs do make specific adjustments for skin tones or sky blues. And you ought to tell them so, to adjust for skin tones or whatever. Otherwise, you'd only end up in very unhappy disagreements.

BTW, I am not related to KT, just happen to print a lot there before.

i think whether or not u r a full time or part time or even one time photog... a pro lab will treat every printing job equal..... :dunno:

guess u r right everyone has diff eyes for colors

will they ask for prove of member of Clubsnap? ..... I'm a forum member here.. does that mean I'm an official Clubsnap member? :dunno:

Any shops using FUJI FRONTIER PRINTER in the EAST that charges 30 cents for 4R prints?

THANKS A LOT! :D

Mankul, just remember the magic phrase "I'm from Clubsnap". That's all to it... :D

As for list of Frontier labs.... I think I've posted a list somewhere around the forums..... do a search on printing or printing 4Rs or something along those lines.

any ideas if they do scan your negatives to digital? without printing?
any extra charges if done this way?Ü

Good Service and im happy with my printouts...

another satisfied customer of KT!! :bsmilie:

Hi. I'm a regular at KT Digital Lab. I think generally their service and quality is good. I always asked them to adjust my photos attributes such has brightness, contrast, color etc, and so far I am happy with it.
And if you are a regular, they may print your photos within 30 mins at no addition charge!

For 30cents for a 4R photos, that's a steal. So what's the complaints?

: Just a happy customer.
