So you are sure it is "Fuji Crystal Archive Supreme" paper instead of normal "Fuji Crystal Archive paper." A lot of difference. Some places charge 30c for 4R but uses the cheaper normal quality Fuji Crystal Archive paper. :)

It is Supreme paper...written very clearly on the back of each photo paper... ;)

ok guys, confirm it's Fuji Crystal Archive Supreme Paper for both Digital and Negative Prints at KT.

Best double check with Michelle first. I think the 8R glossy is on CA normal, cuz Supreme out of stock.
But the rest - 3R, 4R, 5R, 6R matte and glossy are all Supreme.

The good thing about Supreme paper is that it doesn't curl. Colour-wise, I'm in  with the matte!!!

agreed, the prints are really good stuff! price wise is also one of the best, best value for money. very satisfied customer here. staff are friendly too!

Firstly i must declare i know nutz bout how the developing shops works.... :dunno:
Q1: Do you guys let them do color corrections for your pics?
Q2: Is it done manually or some auto setting by the machine?
Q3: Anyone can guide me as in how the corrections are done?

Wanna know so that when i go print can decide to let them correct or not...

Thanx!!

I went there last week for the first time.
Truly satisfied with the quality of the prints.
and its on a discount for us all here!

Thank you KT!

You can choose to correct yourself or ask them to correct.
For myself, I just leave it to them & am satisfied with the results
Fast & easy : )

hmm...i know they do correction for me.....
but i would like to have control over my pics u see....
anyone tried without corrections before?
was wondering if my monitor would differ from theirs or not.....
if same calibration then it's all rite not to correct......
sh#t...really dunno how to express my prob here man....

I think I noe ur prob pal. If you let them do color corrections, what they correct may be pleasing to their eyes but not urs.

So you would like to do color correction urself and request for no color correction at KTDI. But the most likely outcome would be photos coming out which will look different from what u corrected cos ur monitor is not calibrated to their printer.

I have been sending pics for devlopment at KTDI w/o corrections on their part and so far the photos almost look like what I did after my corrections.

So the question how can you do it? At KTDI they calibrate their monitor to be almost very similar to what is printed out. So the first step is to calibrate your monitor be be almost the same as theirs.
What I did was to send a "color card" to them for development w/o any corrections on my and their part.
Then I calibrate my monitor to be as close as possible to the "photo color card".
After this u are ready to go, try a few pics first to check the accuracy of the color correction that you do. Remember to tell KTDI not to do any color correction.

If you need the "color card", pm me with your email, cheers ;)

Just tried their service today. Very satisfied with the prints. Prior to that, I always use Konota, now will use solely KT.

BTW I heard of Konota. Wondering where is it located?

btw konota shld be at peninsula plaza..

How does the calibration disk work? ie. Is it a color profile which we install on our system?

The first time i got a calibration disk from them, it was a potrait of a couple.
I found it very difficult to calibrate my monitor to the potrait as colors a not "well defined" if u know wat i mean.
Therefore, I used my "color card" for calibration instead.

Does anyone know if KT will crop photos that are already in 3:2 format, e.g. files from D30/D60/300D/10D?

I sent my files to Photo Friend and they still get cropped when I print 4R.

:(

How does it work? They give a softcopy as well as a hardcopy of the couple portrait for you to calibarate? So that the couple skin tone of the softcopy matches the hardcopy?

I sent in images in 3:2 ratio, and didn't notice any cropping.

I used them for first time yesterday, dropped off CD during lunch and picked up photos after work. Very happy with the quality. 30 cents per print some more.

hmm for my pics which i juz collected from KT....it seems tat they still crop the pics by a little even though i cropped to 3:2 already.
Very little but still noticeable......
Any idea if they do 4:3 printing??

normal 4R is 6x4in (3:2)
so you mean 6x4.5in (4:3)
