just got back from work. forgot to bring my camera out today.

I just realised that I'm starting to lose hair. to make it worse, it's a rainy day...again :(

sui, very cleanly cut. like the slant. trying to find ways to make the most out of rainy days man, since spore rain so much. so that rain doesnt mean no photoshoot for the day!

the solitary figure with the umbrella works really well here. u could also opt for even more minimalism by cropping away the top half of the pic. (ok i admit the small piece of rubbish at top right really bugs me!)

there seems to be a superimposition of layers, first the field is cut by a slanting concrete. then the brick road steamrolls on both of them, and these superimposed layers form a nice cleancut composition, at least imho.

i esp like the suggestion of the concrete pathway on the top right that seems to cut straight diagonally across the picture.

yes, that's true...it was bugging me too! But I wanted that top oblique line created by the kerb. I was thinking whether to PS the garbage bag away, but aiyah...al naturale better lah :bsmilie:

actually, i just finished reading freeman patterson's "photographing the world around us" and was experimenting with diagonals (or obliques as he calls them) to create a sense of movement in an image that he was talking about in the book.

thanks for the very detailed interpretation :)

i see... i was very inspired by his photoimpressionism book (photoimpressionism and the subjective image, purple colour one)!! some of those images simply stir up feelings.
