Nice :) The "aura" around the sun looks a bit weird though ... the rocks works for me, but as jackie said, if they're just slightly darker, it would be perfect

Colour a bit flat leh ... personal opinion
but nice sun

yup cokin ND8 grad, and that explains the halo around the sun...

As mentioned by fellow CSer's here saying that the stone/rocks area is slightly brighter. I think is better to use a ND4 grad filter instead. This filter only cuts down 2-stops of light as compare to ND8 grad which cuts down 3-stops of light (if I'm right).
As a setting sun don't have too strong of a light as the afternoon sun, 2-stop will be more than enough to capture a setting sun pic (I think). Anyway, this is just my pov only.
Happy shooting & have fun plus learning too.:)

I will also place/rotate the filter at an angle to almost 45 degree to the top left side of the pic here (where the water & near the trees area) is almost covered by the filter as this are the area where the light is stronger than the rock area.
Just my pov only & hope you understand what I explain here.:)

actually, when i measured, the difference between the sky and foreground was > 3 stops. So i used ND8. I actually tried ND4 as well, but the area around the sun was about 1 stop over so couldn't really see the shape of the sun.

anyways, thanks for the feedback. improve again next time! :)
