KMOS / SONY members.. What's NEW in year 2007

Anyway, I suggest that we go for the black polo shirt with a Minolta logo on one side of the sleeve and Sony on the other. We can also have Sulhan's design on the left breast area with our nick below it.

Anyway, just my suggestion. Hope you guys can visualize and like it.

I reckon we should somehow start doing something if we want to make this work.
Lets start with the polo-t or t-shirt design. If Sulhan is agreeable for the use of his designed logo, it will be great. Next, someone, need to design how/where the logo and our nick should be placed. What colour of the polo of T is going to be. Check out the price for the polo or T to be make. Draft out the design and let others to poll which is the best. The best person to design it should have some background in art thingy, I guess. So who want to volunteer?
With a design polo or T, it will really make us like a 'united' group kinda of feeling when we wear it during our outings.

Next, assign a few to run this 'committee' :bsmilie:
1. We need a 'leader' - Eyesthruthelens
2. One to organise local outing shoots and Tc session
3. One to orgnanis overseas shoots - I volunteer for this
4. Any others you can think of?

I will be on leave the whole of next week. Can meet up with bro TW or any of you interested to discuss and do leg-work to check quotation for the polo/T. Of cos, the design must be out first la. :sweat:

How about getting Sony(S) involved? As such, we might get some funding from them and we can plan something more interesting for the benefit of all, be it for us KM/Sony camera consumers and Sony(S) too.

hope sulhan wun feel offended, but the logo wun last long on t-shirt. problem is that it contains alot of small spots and short lines. my experience with my class shirt is that designs will be washed off if the lines are too thin. so to sustain its design, the design must be bold with solid lines rather than thin weak lines.

the KMOS and SINGAPORE would work fine, but the background would degrade with subseqeunt washes.

Hmm.. no one pm me on good tshirt shop.. I'm trying to get some contacts from my friends..
I think that if we are willing to pay something in the range of $40 to $50.. we should be able to get something like the football jersey..

For the outing, I think we just nominate 6 members to organize an outing for every 2
months..
Some ideas.. like:
1. an outing with wide angle lens.. or just a prime lens
2. a 2 days trip to Msia.. Malacca or KL
3. Butterfly shoot..
4. A day trip to Pulau Ubin..
5. Sunrise or Sunset shoot.. should be a short one, just 2 hours.. after that can go for breakfast or dinner..
.. any more suggestion??

I think the budget should be $400-$700..
Interesting places should be: Vietnam, Bangkok, Angkor Wat, China.. Bali or to Sydney - visit Hart :bsmilie:
We may need at least min 4 members to join in the trip..

Lastly, I think things will only work out if there is support and participation from KM / SONY members..
I hope to get pm from members that can help out on the bi-monthly outing organizing.:sweat:

Visiting Hart in Sydney.....if there is airfare promo then. We can all bunk into Hart's
apartment. :bsmilie: Save some cost. But the airport taxes nowadays is a killer.

Have you try checking with those shops in Queensway Shopping Centre?

An idea struck me the other day when I saw 2 guys in Mitsubishi Ralliart outfits. Maybe we can do the same as well. We can have short sleeve shirts like those the Mitsubishi Sales people wear. Looks nice. Can wear that for overseas outing or chitchat gathering sessions and we can wear the Polo T-shirts for shooting.
