Really? I guess the vast majority of movie goers, TV watchers, book buyers, are all "wrong minded" clients.

I guess you yourself do not watch movies, watch TV, read books, novels, comics etc; otehrwise you are part of this group of "wrong minded clients".

No right minded client would ever request such a theme-the glorification of violence especially against women.

I don't see anything wrong with this series anymore than I 'll like to think that you hope people do not see anything wrong with your series (which some may view as controversial at times).

I'm not sure why the objection is being raised.

cant understand why yr not sure..
seems obvious ..

dun mind the series .. quite refreshing
but can appreciate that others may not find it portraying good value system
maybe can class M18 or something..

Okay then, hope you are available on hand during every movie, every TV show and every novel, comic book and game they play, and tell them that such things are bad, and that all movie directors, photographers, actors, scriptwriters, are bad bad people who should go into the 13th level of hell.

That is essentially what you are saying here.

Yes, this is what all parents need to do with our children, until they tell us it is enough and we know it is enough.

It does not matter if there are famous or many people out there who act, produce or direct in shows of violence, some of which are objectionable like in this thread. What I do here is no different from what I would do with my children, I will state my point to remind those who "appreciate" the photos that there are other elements to the photos that should be considered.

The theme of violence and assault against women is downright tasteless.

There's a difference between appreciation of violence, and appreciation of a photographer/director/actor who manages to successfully create a realistic looking scene, even though everyone on set knows that it is staged.

Just to re adjust, most if not all shows have some form of violence. Even the slapping of a girlfriend by a boyfriend is violence not to be condoned in real life.

I think in that case, you probably should just sell the television in your house.

i wonder wat's the response if the xmm is a rich businessman..

Probably not as emotive as the current ones seen.

Even better, if the theme is a group of heroes kidnapping a terrorist and interrogating him to release information on the bomb he's planted, confirm even more difference in responses.

Sprintist, when you wanna do a shoot on boys and girls studying in library, helping old man cross the road to redeem yourself from this terror? I volunteer to be that old man! :bsmilie:

Jokes aside, I do agreed that you should have a politically correct ending for this series. To show that bad people never wins.

tsk tsk....if all endings needed to be politically correct, vince123123 will sell his tv AND join the nunnery in protest!

:bsmilie:

Hahah, nope I'll not do such stupid things, I'll leave that those who think such a series is perverted.

if only everyone could show as much maturity when replying to the thread in the first place, without having the desire to shove their opinions down each others' throats to prove something about their worth, then this world would be a better place, but that is too much to hope for, because sometimes people are not interested in commenting, only on proving who is more morally vindicated, or more open-minded. well, for the former, i see way too much passion; and for the latter, i see way too much smugness; in either case, both confound me.

hear hear:thumbsup:

no worries all, this is just a self-challenge shoot i think we all can move on because the photos have already been shot and i won't be gg to delete them anyway :) let it be, be it the different stands, i really appreciate the attention given to the moral values we of course, are all good citizens here right?

at most next time i invite a panel of jury to pass my proposal for any controversial shoot in the future

the jury will be made up of myself, me and I :bsmilie::bsmilie:

Nope, don't delete, leave it here, and yes, your jury should be made up only of yourself :)

Yes, how convenient, avoid the issue of promoting violence and assault on women. I see two very strong proponents here.

Moral and Ethical issues aside, the photography isn't that good either. Take away the women and the violence and there is nothing really left in there to comment about, maybe some good marks for effort but nothing else.

Yes how convenient to also read that taking a series of photos like this promotes violence against women? After looking at this series, I guess you feel the urge to bash someone up? :)

Again, I'll refer to my examples. Going by your point of view, TV Shows like 24 promotes terrorism. Books like Jurassic Park promotes fidding with nature and creating DNA clones. Movies like Saw promotes to locking up of people and torturing them.

Yes, all television movies promotes some form of violence or another, and unfortunately people learn form these and actually do the stupid things in real life.

I have no idea what you are talking about having the urge to beat someone up.

Its okay, I'll agree to disagree with you :)

that's because nobody gets commented/highlighted when people do the right and proper things mah

sorry but i have to say media do influence people, so do the peers (pretty powerful) but more importantly, everything should be rooted from the family guidance.

if my parents had not instilled proper values, i wouldnt even be in photography society but secret one :bsmilie: it still comes back to the individual to understand right from wrong but i am, just, only, merely portraying violence in pictorial form :)

I like this series, except for the different outfit ...

The blood from the head seem to be missing after the knock on the wall too.

you're not alone :bsmilie:

oh, as mentioned earlier, the blood was slightly hidden by the angle of the head, hence the
so-called ''disappearance'' of the blood :S
