The "students" werent posing...I kinda like pics that contrasts the two subjects... one is busy studying (and probably not enjoying it) while the other is obviously having the best times of their life!

Hi, a newbie qn... may I know how to do this B&W for the pic except the flowers? Think it's quite widely used, but I still haven't figured out how to do this. :dunno:

Hi,
yes. It is in Singapore. On a Kelong. Unfortunately, this is as much as I can share for now. The place is a really quiet and tranquil place and the owners of the Kelong are actually personal friends of mine and they would rather keep a low profile.
Hiya...
its actually really simple. Its pretty hard to explain in words tho. Actually, I would recommend books on PS by Scott Kelby. He actually teaches you to produce an image like the one above in his books...
Hmm what do you like about this picture?
Oops.. okiez, will try, thanks so much.. btw, any particular book to look for?
Notice that your style has changed. Last time, used to shoot tight. Now shoot wide. You have succeeded in your transitional stage. U really is a saint of wedding photography:thumbsup:
Errm... the transition is not abt shooting wide from close. Its about adding other elements besides good composition, creative angles and nice colors. These are shots which sometimes require a second look cause at first glance we dont quite appreciate or understand the underlying meaings in the pic. I know these secondary elements doesnt really matter to some couples but it feeds me as an artist and it keeps me looking forward to each wedding.
