I am looking forward to a trip out with my mom and with my maternal uncles for a hometown trip. They are 3rd generation Uyhgurs while,..I'm the 4th generation. My mom and her siblings each have their own unique features and looks, many of my buddies who first seen them think they are not an obvious Chinese, of course after a mix and match....the genes from her brothers to their children are obvious...
I am sure you will have a wonderful hometown trip. Hope that the unique local character and culture are not too much destroyed by the development.
