where should i go to if i want to buy one of the coloured ones online?

also, will it be more expensive, less reliable etc etc?

i never bought stuff online before. hehehe.

You can enquire around in one of the few famous camera shops in singapore. If there is a demand, it will not be surprising that they will be willing to bring it in for you, so just ask around.

hmm Alan photo, cathay photo, orient photo are a few i can think of.

nearly got the K-x in Australia last weekend, but haiz... the lack of the VF AF indicator really shun me off... probably i'm just too anal bout it. Otherwise, i feel it has the best handling, built, and lightweight package entry level camera out there in the market now.

what does "TS" mean, by the way?

i love the white... but am wondering, will it get dirty/stained easily?

i also wanna know too...

if other colours are not coming to our shores then i'm contemplating getting the white one. but i also worry about staining it.
sighz... dilemma...

It is polycarbonate plastic... white one won't get stained lah.
Had an all white Minolta SLR years ago and it didn't change colour or got stained.
If worried, then just get black one or just don't have curry stained fingers when picking up the camera. :bsmilie:

actually hor... it's noticeably more obvious in black when you get oil stain on it. eg oily face sticking to the cam body, but not so obvious in white.

@ MOD,

Time to change the thread subject title to K-x is already here!

thanks for clarifying.

haha.. now i'm hoping that they bring in the yellow one.

You looking for a lemon DSLR ? [literally speaking]:bsmilie:
haha... the colour only... not the set as a whole...
yellow looks fun and less intimidating and i'm looking for my first dslr to learn more in depth stuff about photography.

i think the cons of this is using of normal aa batteries..

they should make those with camera battery 1

There's more pros to cons for using AA batteries. You have the flexibility to choose whether to use disposables or rechargeables. If your battery get damaged, you can easily find replacements within short walking distance.

i mean, this is the first dslr i see with normal aa battery
weird to me though

well. imagine this. 5 sets of eneloop for $15 each.
That 5 sets of batteries for $75. An original battery from competing brands might cost $75 each.

One set of eneloop can take more than 600 shots in my k200d. so 5 sets will be 3000 shots.

I am not sure how many shots those original batteries offer?

But sure, weight is another issue. Generally I like AA solution.

Since the K-x is already here, I'm gonna close this thread. You should be able to find this wonderful camera in our local shops already, or in the coming days :)
