K-x is here! A short review ... K-x vs K-7

Just bought mine...from SLR Revolution Opposite John 3:16 at funan. I got the last Black K-x they have there i think...the price is 942$ !!! With bonus 8GB card and 4x Eneloop battery and 2hour charger ! Not bad i must say

Went to AP funan they say no stock....Cathay Photo lagi best...quote me 1050 and freebies only 8 GB card :thumbsd: Anyways, playing with it now, damn small !!! Will post some pics soon

No need to console, no need to be sad... K-7 owners just need a second body, that's all...
K-7 in daylight, K-x for low light... such a simple formula. :kiss:

Sometime things just not fair enough but K7 is still best in handing & control i believe.

Yup !! Very friendly guy !! I was there to check it out only to see what's the fuss about....and to my surprise they carry K-x also !! They didnt sell that many pentax stuffs though....they straight quote me 942$ for K-x which is the cheapest in Funan i believe :thumbsup:

Definitely will buy from them again in the future!

Well the K-x has Shake Reduction with any and every lens you put on, which is something to consider as it has cost as well as usability considerations. Plus the optical performance of the Pentax kit lens is better imo. K-x is more compact and got more colours... :bsmilie:

But I guess i cant really go too wrong with either models.

Canon offers 500D Kit 1 with their now free promo 50mm f1.8 approx $1120(buy back program).

Kx kit at 942. Each camera seems to have their own inherent pros and the price is so close. What a tough choice!

Between the K-x and K-7, looks like almost 2-stops improvement in the mid-ISO and around 1-stop improvement in the high-ISO, not bad.

First K-x updates are up on the price list! Keep them coming guys... (To new Pentaxians, I update the Pentax Pricelist on CS, so just PM me the details of your new purchases)

Amazing, High ISO is very attractive to me as I like shoot night pics with hand held.
Anyone know that whether the dual kit lens option is available in SG or not?
And I saw quit a number of K-x users reported about the k-x battery indicator problem on the internet, anyone encountered that also?
I'll wait and see how, ;p. At least before the exam

The clean images at high ISO will make the Pentax K-x an excellent camera during the Christmas Orchard Road light-up. :thumbsup:

Canon 500D + 50/1.8 doesn't come w/ anti shake. You won't be able to take a handheld photo at 1/5s unless you put the camera on a steady support But for a Kx plus any 50mm lens, you can take a handheld sharp photo even at 1/5s That's the beauty of in-body anti shake
