Wow, the noise control is gd

FW, does the pink/purple noise around the edges of the photo appear on either the K-7 or K-x at ISO 3200-6400? it's quite an annoyance for me on my K20D..

Here are a couple more comparison photos between K7 and Kx:

K7 at ISO1600:

Somehow the metering results are a bit different, although the settings on both cameras are exactly the same (Av mode, average metering, no EV compensation). The one from Kx is slightly brighter

The ISO performance is very good. I would pay $500 to upgrade my k10d's sensor for that. Ha.

Here are some actual photos I took last night when I walked around our block (after 8:15pm), all converted from DNG raw files.

Pictures are slightly soft due to the slow shutter speed and wide aperture used I think.

I've taken similar kids photos at the same location w/ my K7 when I just got it several months ago, there is no way my K7 can take these kids photos at ISO3200.

bro, i know absolutely nothing about pentax cameras, just happened to pop in. was thinking this camera would look stunning with a pro canon white L range telephoto zoom/ super telephoto in white!

At ISO800 the photo is very clean even taken under complicate light condition:

Even at ISO1600, it's pretty clean too:

On K-7, yes. On K-x, not so obvious :)

Wow, the ISO1600 is so so useable! A nice camera to have for Singapore F1.

Arrrgh! The noise comparison...

Louder shutter with better noise control
or
Quiet shutter with so-so noise control

I think Kx is great for indoor and low light situations.
K-7 for daylight use, but i find k-7 does pretty decent job indoors too.hmm

Hi FengWei, what about posting a picture side by side with K-x and K-7? thanks :)

so confirm the AF in low light is as good if not better than k-7 ;p

No need lah, I've posted K7 and Km side by side before, Kx is just like Km on the outside. But its inside (I mean software) is quite like K7, no learning curve ;)

Yup, amazing, isn't it? Such a small and affordable camera is so capable.

Hehe, if its not too much trouble there, how about a video test? Already went with the pictures, might as well complete the review with videos =PPP

-Slow Panning to Fast Panning (multi directional)
-Body Stabilisation on and off
-Last but not least, auto focus and manual focus

Wahha..it looks like alot to ask for. maybe in due time....
