So far, there is no impact in any of the shots which has been posted up. Beside the good post processing, none of them look greatly appealing to me. To me it looks like snap shots rather than carefully planned shots.

Generally speaking

1) Some photos are pretty messy in the BG.

2) Most of her pose are done distastefully. There is no sexy appeal to it.

3) Clothes which I guess she brought herself are just not exciting enough.

4) Expression.....well......no comment on that.

Shooting lingeries is one of the most difficult task in a portrait shooting. It's not about shooting her assets only which will appeal the audience. It's how you bring her inner self to make it look sexy. Right now what I can see is just exibitions of her assets.

What lacks in some photographers is the failure to communicate well with the model. This will usually lead on to things like "Yeah, ok ok this will do", "Yeah, yeah this looks great" "Yeah you look quite sexy in this angle" or then there are shooters who keeps quite all the time.

Shooting human subject is one of the most difficult and challenging things in photography. It's all about control and how you fully interact with them. Not just taking out your big guns and start shooting as if you really know what you are doing.

It's good that some of the members go through to experience but it's good to do some homework before the actual shoot itself. Another problem is plenty of hobbyist (yeah I know you all have full time jobs and only doing this for fun) but if you want to do something (even if none of you are professionals in this field) make sure you do it well. Why waste the money that you spend on the model, the time wasted and your equipments which you carefully invested.

It's not only the professionals photographers can do it well/better but any of you can do it too. You have a DSLR. I have a DSLR. You have a 50mm f1.4. I have a 50mm f1.4. We use the same as you all use. Some hobbyist have higher end equipment than myself. So where's the problem? Lack of experience would be the main answer but then again it's all about how interested you are in this hobby.

There is plenty of room for improvement for many members in here who posted their portraiture shots. I have seen nice decent works by some members who only take it as a hobby. So if they can do it (plus they not professional train), I am sure you all do it too.

I hope to see higher standard works from the members in CS so that to let the other parts of the world know we are able to achieve same or higher standard than the rest.

Choose only the best photos to show us. Good luck to all.

May I just comment on this picture .... Some little things to take not of during the shoot ... or maybe you can just do a little DI to correct some of them ...

1) this pose is a little difficult to make the model look "slim" because I believe she would have to be sitting on her calf on the soft bed ... It would be better if you ask her to lift herself up a little just before the shot so that you do not get a compressed thigh. If you look at right (model right) the upper thigh where it meets the bikini ... a bit of "overflow" ... quite unsightly. I can be corrected by doing the pose properly or by doing little DI.

2) The white on the bikini bottom ... again on the model's right ... maybe just DI it to be a consistent black ...

3) The bra strap on model right shoulder ... get rid of it if you are trying to go for the implied nude look ... otherwise get rid of it during post-processing because it is a little distracting. Think it is probably easier to remove it during the shoot; unless circunstances does not permit.

4) Lastly would just be the littlt bit of hair sticking out over the right shoulder ...

Hope you don't mind ... I understand that there is time, space and other constrain to be taken care of during the shoot ... I guess I would have made some of the same mistakes too if I was shooting.

Good Luck ... Keep Shooting and Thanks for Sharing

Yeap. A lot more to learn.

Good that you are keeping a positive sign. Hope to see more work but improve ones.

Actually to me, I rather you shoot 10 shots slowly thinking about it and get 5-6 good ones than 100 quicky shots and only get 5-6 good ones.

Wow this girl has a great pair of "assets" how much does she charge for a photo shoot?

Just PM Miss Bree and she will be more than happy to let you know the price.

Erm... I think that's her hair lah. But you'll say DI it out, right? ;)

But pointing that out made me notice that her lower tricep looks unusually large compared to her shoulder.

KUDOS! Thanks for sharing a little different than the norm. ProImage comments are indeed good, very constructive. Keep Believing The Impossible! Be Daring To Be Different! Well Done!

Bree - You simply Awesome, Girl! Keep Up The Good Works!

thank you for sharing this photo with me....i love them~~

Thank u for your PM. I think mebbe i reply u here for the benefits for the others.

Firstly I can't find any of your sample photos that u hold up as examples of what a good lingerie shot is all about.

It's always very easy to pass comments on other's photos, say this and that abt other's photos thinking that one can always do better. A very natural human response. But when YOU actually do it, YOU might even make more mistakes and others can also easily find faults with YOUR photos as well.

But i shall give u the benefit of the doubt and take it as u r sincere in giving your comments. So I shall look forward to seeing some of YOUR great photos someday when u finally have them and hopefully i wun think of u as being an armchair critic after that.

Meanwhile, for the folks here, I would say it's a very admirable effort given it's their first time and this is not a full-scale commercial shoot.

Bree has a very nice lower triceps, it is kind of Femi-masculine looks, which is really nice.
I tend to notice her arms more then the other assets. ;p

Photographers should try to bring out her full nice arms rather then the front posture, i think it will look really good....Kind of the sublime sensual shot.

r47z,
nice shot.
Her hand is very well placed and look very eased and soft...Collar Bone looks a bit distracting but ok.
Bree very Pro here :)
