way too smooth

Way too many similiar shots, be selective. Also, the PP work is very distracting, no one looks like that, way too smooth.

I feel that the DI on the model is a little too heavy too.
Nice composition and poses in the series which i like.
Beautiful sweet model.
and a nice TT ladies Datejust! ;)

Okay.

I like the images, they're very sharp. But I don't like the rendition of the skin. Pic number 6 looks like a barbie doll. (No offence to anyone). Just my personal feeling.

Okay. Thanks.

i think the skin pp works if you're doing a life sized doll shoot.

i mean, she really looks like a doll!

try using an opacity of 60 to 80% when u r smoothing the skin...it will retain some texture of the skin...i am no expert but juz some suggestion...

No need to say too much. No need to justify the methods I use. No need to tell fake stories to go with what is posted. Just view and comment lah. But do tell me why you like or don't like them. Thanks.

****..u made us "gian" ;p

the model is very pretty! Very much like those toy poseable dolls from japanese anime!

Agree with the rest, she looks totally like a doll! Think if the concept revolves around her actually being a robot it might be cool. The last few shots on wide angle, I find the distortion on the legs a bit unflattering.

What A Beautiful Model. Nice shots but gotta agree that there is over too much surface blur

Ok, put aside the skin stuff, i personally like the composition and the bokeh in the first few pictures. and of course nice model too. :)

Very sharp images, nice composition but the skin looks way too smooth. Sometimes i do get carried away smoothening the skin too. :embrass:

but u know what? you shoot what you like unless you are looking to please the crowd.
:)

i like the composition and the model has pretty nice and sharp features.

Very nice photo~!
i'm wondering how u make the girls skin so smooth~?
i'm noob, and very admire ur works~! and i like these type of photo very much~
thank you~!

Thanks for the comment. Like I have said on my first post, I don't want to justify the methods I used on these photos. I am very well aware that about the skin. Thanks. :)

You are right. You should be shooting what you like and not to shoot and post here to get hand claps from people. If it works for you, it works. I am more interested in trying to get better comments besides looking at just how I post process my pictures.

Hey, very nice and pretty pictures. Like a doll, I'll say.

Can you share your post processing? How do you get the models face and everthing else to be so smooth without loosing details.

thanks.

Thanks. I was a newbie too. Maybe I still am. I am still learning and trying out things and constantly experimenting. Shoot more, make mistakes and learn from them. As for post processing on the skin, I will rather let the experts here tell you lah. I don't want my thread to end up being a thread/post war on some super time-wasting topics. Just wanna stick to enjoying photography. Good luck. :)

Let the so-called experts here answer this questions first. If they cannot, then PM me. I don't mind sharing my workflow to good people. Afterall, we are here to enjoy photography and help each other improve. :)
