[Just a rumor] Another Nikon FX camera for Photokina

You'll get a smaller body too, but the metal they use does make it harder to put wifi built in.

Nikon uses magnesium alloy too right? Wonder if it's significantly thicker or different than what is used in full mag alloy m43 bodies? E.g., The Panny GH3/4 and Oly E-M1 feature built-in wifi. Perhaps it's more a matter of space? *shrug*

Sony AXx series also has inbuilt wifi... think it should not be technical limitations?

most likely to be high profit margin product
maybe made in Thailand to reduce costs and increase profits while maintaining quality control by Japanese QC managers

The price of computers have been declining over the years too, eg a decent notebook used to cost above $3k
Anyway, I normally do graphics where files are normally in the hundreds of MB and now a days GB in size.
so 70MB files are normal

I normally process panos that are at least 1 to 3 GB in size after all the processing has been done. One of the largest I have worked on so far has been slightly more than 21GB when exported as .PSB. I concur, 70MB files are normal. But if the resolution of all these triple, I fear for my RAM.

Oh well I guess I'm going off topic :(

I agree with you that the D750 would be made in Thailand. Even the D810 is manufactured in Thailand too :)

Personally I was tempted to get the D810, but I'm holding out to see the FPS on the D750 mainly because of sports.

If it's unveiled tomorrow and it's the confirmed to be 6.5 fps as above, I might just pull the trigger and get the D810. For sports, the extra MP can help me cheat with heavy use of cropping. Somemore it can go 7 fps in 16MP DX mode with the grip.

Hopefully is a new sensor.... Not reusing the d600 one which is 3 years old?... Wifi n tilt screen is really welcome :)

"Built-in Wi-Fi Professional Wireless communication via UT-1 and WT-5" <= I don't get the 'built in wifi' part.. lol

The more interesting part will be if the D750 has the D600 'enthusiast' layout, or the D700 'semi-pro' layout.

Some of us won't want the xt-1 layout. Some wish for Leica layout, some would say Nikon layout is the best. To each his own. I like both the D800 and Df layouts.

Anyway it appears to be D7100 layout.

Edit - the XT-1 is one ugly camera, urgh...

The cheaper it is, the higher chance you will get wifi..

Same with hotels too - the more atas the hotel the more you need to pay for wifi... cheaper ones free.

I really do like the native ISO 64 in my D810..

No news if this sensor has AA. Camera looks geared towards videographers (even the new SB500 flash has LED lights for video).. so the AA might be something they want ?

Wifi is finally built in !

Note: The button layout for zoom in/out is now same as the D700/D800 finally..

It looks like a D610 update with the af features from D810. Sad that it doesn't come with a af-on button.

Waiting to know more abt the fps with grip and the buffer size...

any mention of when it will be shipping?
