[Just a rumor] Another Nikon FX camera for Photokina

Yeah. That would be funny. But I don't think so. A little to advanced for a D7200. Unless they intend for the D7200 to replacement for the D300s.
D7100 is already 51 point AF, 24MP, 6fps.. but has an expeed 3 cpu... some slight upgrades, and it will be 8fps.

Even the rumored D750 back looks like a D7100 (Note the lack of AF-On,etc)

I have some doubts about the alleged photo, but I see your point. Let's wait and let Nikon surprise us!

All the existing 'D750'pics are fake.
The one posted in this thread (post #32) is a mashup of a D610 and D5000 taken directly from the Nikon's product picture gallery, the same pictures used on sites like KR. Even the body dimples match up to Nikon's product shots.

The one on the Nikonrumor facebook page is a mock-up done by one of the readers (Broxibear). It might be closer to the real thing but nevertheless is still a mock-up.

As far as I've read, no pics of the actual camera has leaked.

with the manufacturers facing a sales decline, i would guess that this release should be targeted at the mass market, the dream camera that everyone is waiting for, just the right present to buy for yourself in Xmas with your bonus.

Anyway Akan Datang. Not long more

Price will the issue (>$2000) if target mass market.

kekekeke..... but the expectations of consumer can be errrr...... :what:......... D4 sensor in a mirrorless body that can cook and bake.... :dunno:

I think price is not an issue for mass market. Just look at the sales numbers of D800/e, D600/610 and you will know.

Just a few short years ago the D300/s was seloing at $2.4k and it still sold well.

Maybe in the range of $2,650 to $2,850...

Quoted from Nikonrumor:

A new DSLR positioned somewhere between the D610 and the D810 models.

Here are the expected specifications:
•24MP full frame sensor
•Tilting LCD screen
•Wi-Fi support
•Expeed 4 imaging processor
•Very light body (probably similar to the D610 and Df, maybe even lighter)
•Priced around $2,500 (the current Nikon FX camera price points are - D610: $1,896.95, Df: $2,746.95, D810: $3,296.95, D4s: $6,496.95)
•Potential announcement at the end of August or early September
•No idea on the model name - it could be D620, D750 or something completely different
•The probability rating on this rumor is currently at 70% - I am pretty confident that this camera is coming, I am just not sure about the detailed specifications.

probably so~~

How long usually nikon takes to ship their cameras once its announced?...

If this are to ship out, many will ask 'Which one is better. d750 or d810?'
And one of them will be me ... :)

i would think the target market is different, so it would depend on what you shoot most.

Somehow I'm more excited for the D750 over the D810 even though I do more landscapes, cuz the D810 will place pressure on memory and hardware when processing. :(

lol, back in 2004 when i bought my first DSLR the 6MP Nikon D70 kit for $3988, and 1GB CF card cost over $100

What is the cost of memory cards now a days? you can buy a decent 64GB SD Card and still have change for a nice cup of coffee.
Computer memory is also dirt cheap too.

I will agree... just look at the new Fruit phone..... selling well over $1k..... and what happen...... long queue form at the shop the previous nite as if it is FOC.....

To process those gigantic 36MP files smoothly you need to have lots of RAM, a good processor and probably a decent GPU and those are by no means cheap.
And even on my current setup which has around 16MP, just stitching up a pano is extremely RAM-intensive.

Will be almost perfect if the d750 is same same as d810 with higher frame rate , 16/24mp and wifi.... hmm abit smaller n lighter will be a plus ..

The cheaper it is, the higher chance you will get wifi..
D5300 - built in wifi, works great (free)
D610 - usb-wifi stick, bit crappy performance though ($60)
D810 - omg, u need a huge adapter to use the usb-wifi stick ($700?!)

If its geared towards consumer, it will most prob be the d610 (usb) shell rather then the d700 (10pin nikon) shell.. You'll get a smaller body too, but the metal they use does make it harder to put wifi built in.

The problem with a higher frame rate is it starts eating into the D4s market, which nikon might want to avoid for a year or two.

My guess - D750, with D610 24mp sensor (Lets hope they take away the AA), with decent ISO performance (The d610 iso performance is better then d800 since the per pixel sensor is larger), higher write rates via exspeed4 + UHS-2 support.
