Good effort.
In my opinion, the pics seems OOF.
For #1, if POF is the ant will be great.:)

Ha Ha, . i think that's what you would call shaky hand syndrome. :bsmilie:

Guess must do either of the following (1) practise more, (2) buy a AF lens such as yr Sigma 180mm :bsmilie:

Ben, thanks for the feed back. ;)

See there is a lot of talk on the FA50, i took out this seldom use little fella from the dry cabinet for a walk in mandai. Put on an ext tube, i converted it into a macro lens and here is my homework

French Fries

Except the #3 flower, felt overall the pic are underexposed. Maybe should use a flash.

Many of the close up of orchids are beautifully taken and well composed.

Met many new and old pentaxians, nice meeting all.
My share.( some cropped)

The greenish spiders has multiple colors, interesting but not many keepers for me.

These are pretty good... your diligent efforts in doing your homework properly are paying off! Just use some exposure compensation, or shoot in RAW and tweak. I think flash can affect the look of flower shots imo, a quality of light issue.

Excellent stuff from you. Lighting is just nice and delicate but I feel you could have stopped down a little more for increased DOF. I gotta start making my own flash diffuser like yours.

It was a good outing :), my 1st trip to the garden.
After looking at so many nice shots taken by our Pentaxians.

Totally agreed with you on the homeworks submitted so far! The composition and colour are awesome!

Like your green spider ! Must DIY a diffuser like yours!! :bsmilie:

Thank you Denis for your words of encouragement. still experimenting with different lighting and lenses. Hopefully will improve after more homework. :bsmilie:

Any good place to shoot macro in Tampines?
