Just bought my 135L from Cathay Photo yesterday, not quite used to the focal length, still practising

the lens is very long esp. on a 1.6x body, u have shoot fm far to get proper framing for your shot..

it's the f/2.8 and nicer bokeh fm the f/2.8, the effect of the bokeh also depends on yr shooting technique to get the nice bokeh...

The additional f-stop, which comes in useful when shooting indoors or low light. Bokeh (background blur) supposedly better as well.

Depends on your shooting style - 24-70 may be optically better than 105 but 105 is lighter and got IS, hence 105 may be better for travelling and shooting scenery. To each his own.

End of this year i might be going Japan to buy some lenses probably. If i never get my new FF DSLR before August, i'll go Japan to buy cos it's cheaper there.

Yes, i know that, actually I am using a film body, but I still find it too long
Just got deeply poisoned by that lens, so I bought it although it broke my bank account...
But it is a great lens, I believe, I am still practising to get used to it

I'll see what i can get there. If i don't get my 5D successor upgrade by August, i might be going Japan to get 1Ds series body if it's cheap enough......need to prepare abt $10K. :bsmilie:

slightly more than 10k about 11k. best if the rates are 12.5SGD. i bought my stuff @ that rate last year. 1Ds MII body is less 7.5kSGD if the rate < 12.5SGD. i would get the 5D successor overseas next year if the price is right.

1Ds markII is good~~ 7.5K sgd minus 5% of VAT~~ i would recommend getting the 5D successor, too bad u have the lenses u need.. 5D should be dirt cheap by now.

To me lens is more impt, camera body is secondary.

For me 5D already enough cos my iBook with CS2 only support up to 1DmkIIn, 5D and 30D. It is not wise for me to get a 5DmkII or 40D because I need to change my iBook to MacBook and CS2 to CS3...

My iBook has gone through good and bad times with me and definately with stay till its life ends...
