i think it's only fair to do peak hour to peak hour, and non-peak hour to non-peak hour comparisions.
any business will find it hard to give you 100% non-stop attention during high traffic hours. if they did that, someone else who couldn't get attention will come along and post a complaint that they didn't get service.
the shops which do poorly are the ones who exhibit the same lousy attitude regardless of the volume. have you seen the ones who place their hands on the counter, lean against it, look everywhere but at you and mumble replies to you? all that while there are more staff than customers around.
how's that for "service"?
