[Jeezuinn] My birds and wildlife photography journey

Time really flies, it's been 6 months since I got into birding. Made a bunch of new friends and learnt a lot along the way. Hopefully my shots have improved since I started, and will improve in time to come. For this 6 months milestone, let me share pics of a bird I really really love, the Crimson Sunbird. Pretty hard to photograph cos of the size, the speed, and the whole coat of shiny red which loses the details easily, but definitely one of the prettiest birds out there to me.

Nothing makes me happy like a raptor photo, and a new one for me at that

Thanks bro! My improvement is largely your credit bro, I would never been able to shoot the images i do without your guidance. Actually of late, I find that my shooting has been deteriorating... Either focus not on, pictures not sharp, details not captured or missing important moments. Been deleting almost all of my recent shots, less some record shots : (.

Hi Thiam Pieng, thanks for dropping by! Most of my photos are actually from walkabouts around the parks or nature reserves in Singapore, so I can't actually tell you where I got these shots since your question is so general. For a start you can try going around the parks in the early morning. You should be able to find quite a nice number of birds around!

Not a good shot, but its a first for me. This guy was on a tree that was diagonally left from the railing. I climbed over the railing and leaned out, with only my feet holding on to the railing to prevent me from dropping into the water. Pity being the short person I am, couldn't seem to lean out far enough to shoot the face

That means your eye and standard is going up. A sign of a next big leap in improvement.
