Great pics. May I know where u took these pics?
Oh i see. Thanks for sharing ur beautiful pics
Kite shots very nice! Didin't know Indonesia got such places to shot![]()
Great pics bro. Your pics just kept getting better and better.
A Little late to the party, seeing as everyone has posted their takes on this pretty guy.Gotta catch up on the backlog of photos. Shooting this guy on the particular day I went was incredibly hard. Not only was the area already plenty dark, but the weather was not the best too. Lost a lot of details from the NR, but not everyday's Sunday :bsmilie: #79 Siberian Blue Robin #80 Siberian Blue Robin #81 Siberian Blue Robin #82 Siberian Blue Robin
Very good already bro.
Some of them didn't even get this bird.
#75-77: Pacific Swallows are not known to exhibit sexual dimorphism. How do you know they are male or female?
#78: This is a Juvenile Barn Swallow. Note the white underparts, instead of dirty white.
#23-24: Blue-throated Bee-eater
Thanks Bro. Yeah I'm contented that i managed to shoot at the very least. Just a bit disappointed that i did not do better haha.
My bad on that. I read that both genders of Barn Swallows look similar, only difference being that the males are more boldly coloured. I assumed it was the same for Pacific Swallows. However #75 is far more boldly coloured than #76/77, are they Pacific, Barn, or are they even the same species? Noted on the colour of the Juvi Barn Swallow!
Thanks for the correction!
Iam also quite disappointed with my shots of the SBR and wanted to go back for it but it wasn't around anymore.I have a few friends who missed it.
As for your swallow photos, iam pretty sure #75 & 76 are Pacific Swallow. The colour is most likely due to lighting.
#77 shows that the belly is white but looks like harsh lighting and i think it is Pacific too as it lacks of the forked tail.
Anyway, are these shots are at the same day and same place?
Wa you are too humble la! Your SBR shots were really nice! Lots of details captured. All the swallow pictures were taken at the same place and same time. Place taken was in Batam, if it helps with ID-ing. As for #75, his colour really was that much bolder! When I saw it i instantly had to take a photo because it stood out from the rest.#76 and #77 were the same bird, so i guess it was due to the lighting
