just my gut feel. i think you tend to 'see wider than your lens' ... you probably enjoy large spanning landscapes but is limited by your current setup to capture what you see. it's quite likely you haven't got use to the limitations of your setup. shoot more

Latest pic looks ok, but subject wise... is it the 3 men or is it the rocks? You have to know what you want to shoot and project that clearly as the main subject in a picture...
