bought one yesterday and it is fantastic as a PNS. IS works great too! good compliment to my big and bulky dSLR.

I got my Ixus 850 IS as a complement to my DSLR and lenses for times when I'm not going out specifically to shoot. As such, portability is a huge factor. I doubt the G7 will fit in your pockets and if you have to carry a bag then you might as well bring your DSLR.

like to check if alan photo @ funan customer service good or not? I am a noob in cams. Need to get 1 but still undecided to get 850 or F31... so would like to compare. Scared the salesman not frenly.... Any advice on this? 850 now gets the vote cos of wide lens unless F31 really show me it is more power....

got my 850 liao from AP. 645 with gst. free 1g sd card, camera bag, mini tripod, cleaning kit. I pay another 8 bucks for the screen protector. total pay 653. IMO, good deal....

played ard with LX2 and F31. In the end, prefer canon 850...

just got 2 sets from AP at funan..$645 with 1gb SD, bag, toy tripod, cleaning kit. $5 more for screen protector.

total = 650 per set

its quite a joy to use! maybe i'll use it as my backup during events..haha
