one thing you need to beware.. a couple of years back, nikon also mentioned FF not in short term plan altho they are keeping options open. :think:

That is true if Canon maintains their 18 months product cycle... they are "stuck" for this cycle, less 5D replacement. Hopefully Canon will wakeup and give their users what they really want.

that would be good for us users

better cameras for less money

let the competition begin

It's great for me because I have a Coolpix 950, D70s and D200 (one of the factors I got the it instead of D80), so if they were to use SD instead, then it'll be a bit of a "negative" feature for me. :)

there is still the replacement consumer camera to look forward to
maybe in about 2-3 years time

hopefully the technology will trickle down and become the norm

hmm ... shoehorn the D3 into something like the P4 (my only SD capable camera) ... at mortal prices ... possibly ... we keep hoping ... and dreaming ...

in the meantime, shoot with what we have and be happy :)

woohooo! for Live View.

Where are the people who were against FF, live view and self cleaning.:bsmilie:

At Main Features of AF-S 14-24mm f/2.8G ED (http://www.nikon.com.sg/productitem.php?pid=1185-0ceca47364), it indicates " it features a short closest-focusing distance of 0.28 m/0.9 ft. with focal length 18-24mm" but at Technical Specfications, it indicates "0.28 m (through the entire focal range)". Anyone notice this?

Frame buffer is also higher on D2X 22 frames vs 9 frames, but I'll have to agree with that.. I'll have to look at the images before making this conclusion. ;p The high ISO is certainly something worth looking forward to.

How many frame buffer does the d300 has?

Thanks

Aiyoh....mine are Coolpix800 and D70.......it's high time for new one soon......so my 2008 resolution is either a D3 or D300 :kiss::heart:

BTW, did nikon produce its own cmos sensor for D3 and D300?

Lets hope that the DR for D300 can beat S5pro;)

Dun know what will the price be for D300 when it arrives here:dunno:

If Nikon can beat canon with high ISO Noise control, I will not be surprise that the DR & colour will be on par with Fuji S5 Pro.:bsmilie:

This round, it is truthly Revenge of the Sith.:bsmilie:

Just being very confused here. How much is the d300? Dprview put 3 different pricing in USD, pound and Euro. All give different pricing? so which pricing will singapore use?

I think our price is most probably closer to the USD price..Europe prices are often more expensive....I wish for a D300 :lovegrin:
