I'm not sure if Nikon production line can handle the surge for the Christmas buying period in December and New Year in January.:bigeyes:

Price and Availability The D300 will be available from Nikon Authorized Dealers beginning in November 2007 for an estimated selling price of US$1,799.95**. With the introduction of the D300, Nikon’s current lineup of digital SLR cameras now includes the new D3, D2XS, D300, D200, D80, D40x and D40.

Lenses

and the estimated selling price* of the AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8G ED will be US$1,699.95.


The three new Super-Telephoto lenses will be available beginning November 2007. Estimated selling prices* for the AF-S NIKKOR 400mm f/2.8G ED VR, AF-S NIKKOR 500mm and 600mm f/4G ED VR lenses are US$8,799.95, US$7,899.95 and US$9,499.95 respectively. These lenses will be compatible with all current F-mount Nikon cameras, as well as the NIKKOR 1.4x, 1.7x and 2.0x AF-Tele-converters.

heh... time to go camp at Buy/Sell, in case got price police crashing CSers selling their d200 or D2-series cams ... brb... ;p

now shld be a good time for those CSers wanting to pick up a used d2x body and the 28-70/2.8 lens. :)
