This might be real...

:)

The front profile look like Contax G1/ G2 without view finder windows. Classic look

Look at one function on the camera, and even if it is US$1199 it is still cheap...

>>>The video function...<<<

You know how much does the other m43 body with video function cost? Referring to the Panasonic GH-1. I hope Olympus did not scrimp on the video function and is as good as the GH-1 or hopefully better (taking into consideration video functions is the strongest strength of Panasonic).

Just to make a fair comparison, my friend. ;)

i highly doubt it would have better video functions than the GH1. Lack of EVF, a proper grip. I tink Oly will just put in a 720p 30fps video function.

With the built in stabilizer though i hope Olympus focus more on reasonably fast compact Primes while Panasonic handle zooms. Stabilized fast primes are

On a sidenote..Panasonic seems to see m4/3 as a replacement for 4/3 seeing that it has completely abandoned any products relating to 4/3. The L10 is probably the last DSLR Panasonic will produce. Just that Panasonic cannot say that they are pulling out if not there will prolly be big public backlash from existing 4/3 users. Something like Toshiba pulling out of HD-DVD.

makes sense, even has EP-1 on it,I do hope for a OVF attachment like LX3 though, kind hate not composing through the viewfinder, feels weird to compose from screen, even using the cameras with live view, feels weird to me

Looking at the kind of body that pana had produces with the G1 and the kind of body oly's making(PEN), I think it's reasonable to assume that oly will be doing more towards fast prime.
Oly cannot be making anything similar to the G1 anyway, because they had already created the world's smallest dslr, and to reproduce a similar design with minimal significance is suicidal. The E-PEN is a logical standout, and in order to produce something to match ergonomics alone, I cannot think of anything else other than fast primes really.

OVF are all over the place anyway, though I would like to see an external EVF, like the ricoh's.

As for whether the leaked images are true, we'll know when the announcement comes. Atm, it's still rumor as much as we like to believe.

actually,it's already shown on the other thread, the hype one

From the look of the pictures, there doesn't seem to have any built-in-body flash except for the hotshoe. Maybe that's where the (rumoured) new FL-14 will come into picture.

So is there some launch event going to happen in Singapore or not?

Does Olympus call every FourThirds prototype the E-P1, or is this going to be the real name? The E-P1 was the name of the E-3 prototype, THREE years ago (do a search on DPReview's Olympus SLR forum).

Here's the side profile.

Hope there is a version in chrome top and matt black bottom version, retro look type. Now I can't wait.

Form factor is a winner IMO.. sized like Panasonic LX3.. hopes ISO800 and ISO1600 are acceptable. I am begining to like 4/3 frames... are shops able to print in 4/3 framing? and are there 4/3 albums as well?

I really doubt it will have an EVF.
Read here somewhere, someone mentioned that there will be 2 models.. hopes the other version have the EVF and Swivel LCD. BTW, what does SSWF stands for?

Ask for 4RDSC but it costs extra and won't fit into standard 4x6 albums or photo frames. The other option is to create a border to fit it into 4x6 without cropping.

SSWF stands for supersonic wave filter and it vibrates the glass in front of the sensor to get rid of dust particles.

Damnit! I think I need one of these! Perfect as a second body to your 4/3rds camera!

Ask for digital size printing & yes, there is 4/3 album availiable.

Thanks, but it is still a hassle to keep into standard albums, unless I want to get those ablums where I could stick them on rather than slot in the photos.

ic... a built-in sensor cleaning mechanism, noted and thanks for info.
