yesterday went to sls they say Ricoh R3 very good camera of the year.
and keep asking me to buy it.
I have a budget of $650 and i dun know chich camera to buy.

haha.. think now 1GB memory cards(be it CF or SD) too common already thus lower cost of manufacturing.. I got my new Lexar 80x 1GB CF at $130 last month(EG having promo @$127 sometime back on their website).. now I really going to knock wall liao, add $29 more can get a 2gb... but its speed is fast..wonder how fast is the lexar CF 2gb at $159 mentioned by lenscapes...

i have no idea, saw eastgear advertisement in today's Digital times. was wondering if it is a typo.

I mean on the market... everyone (Manufacturers) are selling or promoting their 1GB cards, not the user end.. I'm only using 256MB SD for my point n shoot camera now also...

It also depends on wat features(e.g. wide angle, antishake, etc) you need in your camera, how many megapixes u hope to get? Ricoh R3 is a 4.9MP camera w wide angle

actually, for memory card prices, their retail prices are pretty similar across the board unlike, say, cameras. so, doesn't really matter whether u buy at the show or at the shop.

BTW, I'm thinking of getting a new desktop just to do post processing of my photos. any idea which to get? at ITshow cheaper or at SLS? I have a low bugdet leh after spending so much this month.

Princess, are you selling PCs? I dont mind DIY as long as I can get cheap price. Does CSer have discounts if we buy from you?

Might drop by on Friday evening or weekends.

Yup, actually I got the Lexar professional 133X 2GB SD at $179 from EG a week ago, comes with a USB 2.0 card SD reader too.

The Lexar professional CF 2Gb is 80x from description in Digital Life :dunno: thought it will also be 133x. $159 that is really cheap... wonder if Sandisk booth will drop their price alot :think:
