I've given up on the idea after working out the numbers. Films and the development are expensive here in Europe. So, after everything, probably it makes more money sense just to do cropping from a DSLR. ok, pixel resolutions aside.

Film can be pretty affordable if you stick to B&W...

Just find good bargains for 100 rolls, stock it in your fridge, use D76 and reuse the fixer... buy a Canoscan 8800F to scan them at 2400dpi.

This can be much much cheaper than buying a DSLR system.

Since you are using DSLR, try stitching. You will end up with more pixels than even a MF Digital back.

Bro, If i'm not wrong there is a china made 6x9 & 6x12. I saw it in Buy&sell camera thread and also i saw at camera workshop, peninsula. Not sure about the price Iguess it cheaper than Hasselbald xpan

Though the mirror flap is like a slap on my face... apparently, it didn't cause blur shots even at 1/60.

Wow, I actually did think about buying this Pentax6x7 about 15 years ago. Thought it really looked "cute"- a giant SLR. It has the "SLR" look compared to other MF camera.
