A rough gauge, how many HPs do you have already? Are you intending to open a HP museum or something?

The Dai-gor-dai is really a classic, and would bring instant laughs because it is a reminiscent of the '80s... Watch HK police n gangster movie / series of that era, you'll get the idea - and I think you'd know it better than anyone else. Do keep at least one set, it is a highly regarded table top piece.

I can't recall as i chunk them in a zip lock before discarding it in a travel suitcase. You can say i have quite a number to lay a mat in Sungei Road to sell used and damaged phone. :bsmilie: Not qualified to have museum yet though. :bsmilie: Yeah i want the Dai gor dai!!! Totally priceless!

how come no one mentioned audiophile ? that's another expensive hobby to maintain. High end cables alone costs several thousand dollars. People are always on the upgrade path, upgrading speakers, amplifiers, pre amplifiers, etc.... just like cameras, except that these toys are much more expensive than cameras, the high end ones that is.

What about retro kinds? Those with Vacuum valves??

those with vacuum tubes not only sucks money, but also electricity. They are like electric irons, just heating up the air to give you sweet music. Needs some time to warm up and I must say it has very high maintenance costs. The electricity bill will be go hand in hand with the high cost of this hobby. Not very eco friendly I must say.
If you need a hobby to splurge, you can try this one out. The serious well heeled audiophile has a dedicated room with sound deadening materials located at strategic reflection points in the room. Best to have a house with a large basement and an adjoining room for the sub woofer. Most audiophiles are also into home theatre, aka. the videophile. Another money sucking hobby.

EVERYONE IS WRONG. the most expensive hobby: getting urself a gf.

lets see. treat a meal at restaurant, several hundred bucks. going to disco, another few hundred bucks. getting her a credit card to spend? literally priceless.

there are some things money cant buy. for everything else, there is ur gf to spend.

(being stereotypical here. dun mind me dun mind me.)

isn't mistress more exp than gf? changing gf doesn't cost much.. but changing mistresses can potentially cost an arm and a leg.. and maybe some reputation.. if there is any to begin with..

Or you could reverse the title and call it "cutting loss"!

Dun worry lah, I don't think you'll any-o-how follow my advice (as Limsgp suggests) - you're too smart of a man to do that. :bsmilie:
