EVIL!!!! :bsmilie::bsmilie:

Btw, I din know that my D300 and 18-200VR can do this. Did you used flash?

Get it NOW, before the Night Festival is over...:bsmilie:

My god i just went for the festival just now... jam packed... crazy crowds

prolly get the D300 next week! wohoo...

spread the D300 poison :)

I am loving it very much. Did a very simple test in my room u yesterday groggily at 4am. hehe. Using a 50 f1.8 at f2.5 fixed. ISO variable as stated on the picture. Shot Jpeg Large with D2Xmode1 (no additional adjustment). WB is spot on for all pictures taken till ISO Hi1 (ISO6400).....Never possible with D70s indoors using AWB. Anywayz, be your own judge. if fill flash was used, think the noise will be even more controlled. Forgot and left the NR=low in camera and I didnt think it affected the softness at all. I only start seeing softness at ISO3200 (slight) and ISO 6400

100% crop from center of frame

No Flash. Shot with max aperture of f/5.6. ISO3200 allows be to increase shutter to 1/160sec to freeze movement

To all fellow Nikonians. If you are serious about photography, the D300 is really a milestone that Nikon has hit and I believe that it should be able to last you for the next 2-3 years, it is worth getting until Nikon officially announce the so call 'D90'. And it will be wiser to wait for the release of D700, as I believe the price may be reduced further. (keeping fingers crossed ;) )

Another poisonous image (I'm sorry :embrass:)

If i may.... go look for Steven at AP Sim Lim.... he is the only guy I buy my stuff from.... of course bro here would have other recommendation.... but if you die die must go AP Sim Lim, then Steven is the guy.... usually their price is a little better..... read USUALLY, not everytime....

Thank lunas for the poisonuos shots.... do wish the price can drop..... not enough dough for it yet...:sweatsm:

no lar i actually rather not have to buy @ AP but their prize for now is the cheapest and i can't foresee any other dealers having those sort of prices. yea perhaps ill see wad Steven can offer me if i would to go down. thanks dude

anw i dont think ill be waiting much longer since somehow i feel that D700 is targetting another market n wont affect the price of D300 much. Even if it does i think its rather minimal. So prolly getting it next week but still checking on the various dealers although i frequent MS Amk.

Will post more poisonous shots after i lay my hands on "her" haha..

d300 is now perhaps the king of DX cam body.

whats the latest price of d300 at the moment? tempted to get one..

Brand new is < $2500/-.

You can get good 2nd hand copies at our very own Personal Classifieds... it's flooding down there!

saw one at 1900 already.

I think there was a promotional package.

D300+ 50mm F1.8 + SB800 for $2800. I think there is Capture NX 1.3 CD in the pack too.

Assuming you just want the Body only, you can sell the rest off on the B&S section.

SB800 about $450 to $500
50mm f1.8 about $150
and NX capture for $80

Your cost for just the body should be about $2070 to $2120.

If you are interested in getting a used unit, and is not desperate for it. Maybe you should wait just for one more week. There should be quite a couple of D300 upgraders. They should be quite willing to part with their old stuff once they get their new toys (D700) next week.
