Is it true that SLR/DSLR users dun use full auto mode?

the more i shoot,
the more i trust my expansive camera to be right in most situations,
the more i use auto just not to miss the moments.

every mode has its uses,
to each his own.

hope i'll never live to see "who uses AF when there is MF."

I believe since camera co has invested so much for metering sys, should use the High tech instead of M mode. If spent so much on tech, but use our eye as metering, must well dun buy hi tech cam with sophisticated meter sys

yes, that's why I'm using 70~200 as standard lens nowadays.

beside that, the minimum focusing distant is 1.5m, I know I will be very safe shooting them with this lens...

well... my wife boss just purchased a canon 500d... and he is saying that Auto mode can take everything ! why need to set? lol !!

Oh abt MF, I know of a reputable sports shooter in hk using MF for both his 500 and 600mm. He is much sought after and he is really cool.

If you shoot XMMs a lot like we do, Full Auto Mode is mandatory because faced with a scantily dressed young allure your brain should stop functioning after 10 minutes.

I don't think we care what aperture, what shutter speed, what focal length we use left alone composition and lighting.

The main thing is to fill the 32gb CF card.

During a shoot, I once used my 1635mii and the two girls to go wild, and I told them, they were too boring.
They started to dance and in the end, the wildest of the two clawed my lens and smeared her finger prints all over!

I regretted being too close with a wide angle and hence, master Ben is right about safety distance.

I took me a while to remove the stains, but the girl felt so sorry she kidded my lens. OMG, her lipstick imprint became significant.
