[ireallydontlikepink] A Photo whenever possible :)

Not bad, but i think the horizon is tilted (you can see the buildings slanted to the left). I also feel that its under-exposed and framed abit too tight. If you can go wider a bit then I think it would be better.

Just my 2 cents :)

Hi there, I think its not tilted, I think you might be referring to lens distortion that causes the buildings to fall inwards. If you look at the building on the left side and centre, they are pretty much straight.

Agree that horizon is not slanted, but shooting at that angle includes the bridge which is actually not horizontal and it makes the photo seem slanted. :)

*if TS go to the same location and observe, the bridge sort of runs from background to midground, not really horizontal*

anyway, I feel frame too tight on top:)

i tink b&w treatment works pretty well. Makes merlion stand out from the distracting background lights. But as mention by others, pic is slightly underexposed. To prevent overexposing merlion to get the right exposure for the background, prob can try shooting at last light when the street lights are turned on but the sky is not totally dark.

Oh ya ... the merlion exposure really quite tricky here .. especially when i am not familiar with my camera features fully too ... never mind i shall try again when i am at that area ... must be 1 setting that is suitable. thank you :>

Sinned79 we should tell pinky how good is it to own a DSLR.

There are so many pros for owning a DSLR. Owning one allows you to take super beautiful picture of yourself and people around you so when you grow old, at least you have something to remember about :D

More choices of lens for you to choose from to cater to your needs..:devil:
