IR with E-PL1

Thanks both for infors, cos my current 50D mod with transparent glass replacement and there are dust between replacement glass and sensor. I plan to give it a cleaning, your case might work to me too.

I remember there's a rubber grommet that holds the glass in place, should be the same with the Canon, this being so it be unlikely for dust/dirt to get into the space between the glass and sensor. Try cleaning the glass surface that is facing the lens and shoot & check. Hopefully the dust is there and you are able to clean it off. otherwise, the cost is expensive (I think) to send it to professionals to remove the glass to clean the inside surface and sensor. All the best.

From his description, it is much faster. Breaking the "dust-shaker" sounds pretty dicey though... but like you said, not for the faint-hearted haha

Oh.. a beauty, this one. Really nice. v0857, allow me to suggest.. up the exposure a little bit more.. perhaps by another 1/3 stop to 1/2 a stop. In infrared photography, you need not worry about being a little bit over. That will give you a slightly better exposure. In this lovely shot of yours, bring out the flavours of the foliage. That is the characteristic that is going to clinch the taste of this really attractive image. You can either convert the leaves to snowy white in PP, or give them an even more golden hue.. Something out of this world. The sky colour won't be affected much when you play with the foliage colours.
All in, I love this shot. Bravo!

today's "program" was a bit 不三不四 so decided to do IR as the cam is small, portable and light.




who could resist the "shoot from under the tree canopy" shot...obviously I couldn't haha
