Toying with this idea for quite sometime.. Wat say u guys?

unless a 'company' sponsor us then we can have free use of their 'special' IR cams/gadgets and help promote them ;p

or we set up our unique Infrared Club, and registered in the Singapore registry of Societies ;)

Wow, pretty ambitious to even open a club! Good idea though! But there are too few in numbers who are into ir.

We have to be ambitious wan!

Starting will be small and tough till we rock thru the infancy stage and become popular then we will have huge numbers of shooters thus the need to be registered as a societies in accordance with the MHA

When that happens, 'company' will sponsor us to promote their special ir-gadgets for their biz ;p

But it's really not easy to get company sponsors.
Maybe to heck with the sponsors.
We may do it ourselves if there is really no sponsors...

Something like our ClubSNAP shirt kind of design... Maybe lah, my suggestion.
Nowadays I wear my CS shirt day in day out, rain or shine...
I am sure if we have a nice IR CS shirt I will wear it even to sleep...!
Hahhaha...

'Companies' will sure support us wan, BUT we have to be 'famous' with our IR photogs.

It's like fine art artists getting sponsored by millionaires if they really like their masterpiece mah!

THEREFORE... we need to have our own series of infrared photo exhibitions yearly in either our National library or National Art Gallery to gather public awareness.

If i remember correctly, years ago there was infrared photo exhibition organised by the IR-masters from the clubsnap!

Let's us carry on their legacy and make it happen ;)

Ha Ha that is one tough dream to achieve! The thing is while many may suddenly have the craze for ir, i'm afraid that it might just be another passing fad like what is happening with the nd filters now. Really selling like hotcakes.:bsmilie: Any thoughts about the designs then?

The exhibition was held in September of 2007 at the National Library. With the help of another mod, we were fortunate to have sponsors for the prints and the panels for mounting. Check out the Stickies for those who want to have a glimpse of the exhibition photos.

A lot of hard work to get a successful exhibition.

The idea of a IR T-shirt is good, but as said our community here is small. Unlike in Indonesia where there a a terribly huge bumber of IR shooters. Organising events there is very easy as sponsors are ever ready.

Nonetheless, work on the idea guys. We'll see what we can achieve.

In the history of Arts, and music... fad/trend is always like that wan. Normal lah.

The reasons why peolple become crazy becoz we 'poison' them meh :bsmilie:

If we can 'poison' people that's means we have the 'potential' to make it happens. Tioh boh?

No need to hesitate lah. Now is the the time for 'actions' ;) Better to "master" our crafts!!!

Dreams become reality if we have the "soul" and "emotions" in our chosen craft.

Honestly, we can start off simple with the IR TShirt.
I am all for paying on our own cos if companies sponsor they will surely expect something in return.
I really don't mind paying.
You see, the CS T shirt this time round I remember Francis247 telling me they only printed about 100 pieces (correct me Francis if I remember wrongly) and each shirt sells at $25.
So how many IR T shirt do we expect to print?
It's a question that I ask myself.

I might be a to help source for good but cheap supplier for the shirts.
But need to wait until my next vacation
