IR outing 4th december sharing thread

I was very disappointed because when I was back, I realized all my IR photos are shot at ISO 1600!!! Someone changed my ISO and I didn't realized it. Can't tell from LCD and didn't notice it in VF. =(

Ermm... didn't you notice your setting (shutter speed + aperture) when you shoot? 1600 is a lot different (3 stops!) from 200 :bheart:

The noise is not so visible prior to channel swapping but once I channel swap, the noise is unbearable.

Good thing I took color as backup.



Ah chua, if I can't rescue enough IR photos, can pass you colored ones?

Shot in aperture mode, so didn't bother to look at the panel. I am not used to D70s. I got this camera less than one month ago. Started on D300 and now D700. So ...... they are worlds apart.

shelomoh, actually no worries. ISO 1600 then ISO 1600 lah.
Can try doing a bit of denoise to normalise the picture a bit. I am sure it will work.

Hmmm... yah garth6, it is always an issue due to the thickness of the filter, like what fatigue kept emphasizing to me, that makes AF a problem.
Plus the fact that your 50mm would give a thin DOF. Thus it is not uncommon.
Still, give it a go lah.

Like the problem that shelomoh faced, the next time I must be careful with selecting RAW, instead of shooting with Jpeg.
Reason being, as a person who likes to push my pixels to the extreme, I need my RAW files to give me that additional distance.

Please note that if you do not have 5 IR pictures of each ladies, you can also mix it with the normal photos if you have taken them. Just email all of the images to Lx3Chua.
