By the time this iPhone hits the shelves in Asia 2008, other manufacturers will have much stronger/better products. A little out dated liao by then.

Buy this must protect here and there, scare scratches and bumps, not really the phone that I can just put in my pocket. And its too chunky!

no doubt it's very slim like sanitary pads.:bsmilie: but it's too wide and long.
and the way IPOD has so much problems(i changed two for the past 2 years), i foresee this phone will have alot of probs and bugs too.
and i hate apples policy on warranty.they dont do repairs(for ipods), they want you to buy the apple protection plan after 1 year and they'll exchanged a 'RECONDITIONED' set for you.

Will rather wait for how the early adopters say. I have doubt about their quality assurance, especially after iPod. Moreover, it is not suitable for fast "inputing" of sms.

Yes another point I have - it seriously has too many functions and trying to behave like a computer cum camera which it is challenging.

I am ditching all my windows mobile phones and going for a phone that really make phone calls and do sms-ing without been distracted with all the "bells" and problems. :sweatsm: - Something that is small and simple.

Yeah I agree. imho, apple should make a basic classly Nano looking phone (With BT). And then add a seperate entertainment center cum ipod that can link via BT to surf Internet and camera etc.

Apple won't settle for something simple and of little value-addness.

If it's coming out with a product, it better be unique and good. Apple wants to lead the market. When the iPod first came out, it was expensive, one of the first in the market. Nobody could have anticipated the success of the iPod.

If the iPhone goes well, and deliver on it's promises with seamless integration with your computer, you'll slowly be more reliant on the iPhone.

I think the functionalities are enough for the iPhone. Easy to use. If you want to only use it as a basic phone, maybe you can just sign up for the $0 phone.

For the price of $499/$599, it better be good and deliver.

I'm just waiting to see how is Apple going to train technicians and set-up service centres here. I won't be expecting Premium Resellers to service the iPhones.

I myself think if apple solves the speed problem then it would be nice. I am using XDA IIi, when surf net the PDA is very slow. I like bulky phone and cant live without my PDA for 1 day bcos it is very important to my work.

About the design, admit that Apple also have the unique design simple but stand out. Hope we have a super computer this time..
