Iphone data usage

can't even download apps from App Store that are over 10MB in size when using BBOM.

That's me. Haha.every month my bill come my data charges is above 1.5k and that is my saving.if this fried my iPhone then I can only say Nokia rocks,at least it is still working.

No worries on frying an iPhone as it will never happen. I have been hitting $2k to $3k of data usage due to heavy usage of BBOM on 3G and it has working fine for more than a year till date. :thumbsup:

Hi guys,

I'm thinking of getting an iphone for christmas, looking at new bundled data plans from SH & M1, 12 gb is a lot.

But are we able to know how much data we have used so far ??
Is there a setting that i missed out reading from Apple's webby.

Any iphone users able to advise?

i am been using iPhone to serve the Net to view lots of pictures intensive sights every day. For the past 12 months my useage is always less 10 GB. I am on 30 GB bundled plane every month so for 12 GB is be more than sufficient to me

hi i am bringing my iphone to Australia tomorrow. Intend to check some emails on the go and browse websites while waiting for trains, buses etc. Is that considered data roaming? Will it use up a lot of bundle data and costs a bomb?

Say if you are with Singtel, as long as u are not logged unto singtel and u surf / check email, it is considered data roaming.

err, when u are using the 3.5G/3G data plan, u won't be using the wifi antenna at the same time right? :think:

Ya, 3G will kick in only if you dun have a wifi connection. My mistake in saying wifi antenna.. wat I meant was your 3G antenna.

Anyway, I was implying that it's unlikely a for normal user to hit the 12GB limit even when you are always online surfing the net. Unless you are always streaming vids or music.

BTW for those not aware, the Youtube app in iPhone does not stream the usual vid that you stream from a lappy... it's somehow much more compact/compressed.
