Introduction to Japanese RF lenses.

Pretty shot, lovely bokeh...

Of course ma! It's a Fujinon!!
gohaj, Sir Dan has all my Fujinon as of yesterday.
I'm Fujinon-less now BUT one f2 is on its way again.;)

You will not stop!!!:bsmilie:
I like them all but my fav among them:
Fujinon50f1.2
Fujinon50f2
Topcor50f1.5
Topcor50f2
Tanar50f1.5
Hexanon50f1.9

I had the Hexanon50f1.2 & Hexanon60f1.2 before, I prefer the rendition of the Hex60f1.2.

I don't think there's any pre-war Sonnar from Japan. Most, if not all LTM lenses are from the 1950's (post-war).

Wow !!!! Wonder how they can be push to perform in the digital world ...

This is all the canon 50mm I have done so far.
Been busy. Will test out my Serenar f1.9 over this weekend.
I wonder how the canon 50/1.5 is like on film raw without PP?
Upload the large picture so you guys to see the different on each lens.
All shoot wide open. So far I feel all the Canon RF lenses work well with my
tight budget and still get the look I need compare to Leica glasses.

I share the same sentiments.

In fact, if you exclude russian gear (reliability issues), Canon is probably the cheapest way to get into film RF with a high performance to cost ratio. There are many sub US$100 lenses out there.

Cheers,

wow... all the pushers....

so far what interests me is the pre-war zeiss sonnar and the Topcor f2.

if I start collecting these I wonder when I will stop ;(
by the good part is they are not that astronomical in price compared to German other than the Fujinon 1.2 of course. MINT MINT MINT. thats my weak point ;(

Not New New New? :bsmilie:

Because of you, most people here have forgotten about the Nikkor lenses (other than the 5cm f/1.4 and f/2). :)

No lah! If anyone is to be blamed, then it's Gommy! As usual. I remember when he showed me the Canon 50mm f/1.5 LTM.... my very first interaction with a Canon RF lens. So pretty, so shiny, so heavy. The rest was history....

I do like my Nikkor lenses too! Amongst those in my chicken peanut stash is the 50mm, 85mm and 105mm. They are all nice and perform well. But they do cost more though.......

Cheers,
