Interview - Toshiyuki Terada, Group Hd Product & Marketing Planning, Olympus Imaging

I read his interview.. Not sure If he mentioned informally whether the E-M5 can focus the 4/3 HG and SHG lenses faster? That's crucial..

Judging by the fact that they are still dragging their feet on a proper adapter to enable PDAF? Yeah, there's nothing on that front.

wong_se and myself had a brief hands on with the 3D AF tracking last friday evening ....... it works.... i have no measuring machine but on the live LCD AF looked pretty fast ..... even when subject was going DIRECTLY towards or away from the camera

Switch the AF mode to C-AF+TR (continuous AF + tracking) The AF lock the subject, even it moves directly towards/away from the camera, the AF is spot on and quite responsive. No scientific machine to help us on the timing, as a previous owner of EP3, this feature is a big improvement compared to previous Pen.

How is this different from regular C-AF? Does that mean no 3D tracking?

Ouch... Looks like I will be jump ship. Gx1 to om-D.

Silly as may sound, is it's retro feel of gx1 that capture my attention..
Now after reading this om-d, it's retro n the tech behind.... I lost again.

Looks like very hard choice to be made bet gx1 n om-d. The price diff shod be huge bet these 2 giant . :dunno::dunno::dunno:
