hmm.... though I did hear there was a cheaper (D) without G version which cost less around S$1000. but no way to verify source.

Grabbed the one on sales then, I am tempted also ;p .

was comparing the old minolta lens price against the sony price...it seem that the current price had increased by 1.5 X as compare to the km day...
imagine..the 85mm f1.4 G (D) was going for s$1080 for a new set....now ....:cry:

wa... the 85 f1.4G(D) was so "cheap" (comparatively la.. not in absolute term)? even at 1200 its cheaper than 2nd hand ebay prices now... :angry:

Let’s look at it this way guys, a N**** 85mm 1.4 cost $1550 new, a C**** 85mm f1.2 cost 3k+.

A Minolta 85mm f1.4 (with SSS) at $1000-1400. I’m not going to complain (too much).. :bsmilie:

I've been offered a 28mm f2 and a 35mm f1.4 G as a package. But I don't think I can absorb both .

I’m keeping the 35mm of course .

Anyone want the 28mm f2 at $650 + GST. It’s a new local warrantee set.

both are good lens...28 for sharpness 35 for bokeh:thumbsup:
only the 35mm is the G
whereas the 28mm is widely touted as a 'G' quality Lens without the G Tag
