your 80-200 got HS anot? is it same as Sulhan's one?

80-200 f2.8 APO is the black version, so not the HS version. That's why it is cheap...

But the glass design and optical quality is the same!!!

You decide how much you want to spend, as general price, the white one is about twice the price of the black one... you are talking about $2000 vs $1000 with same optical quality.

orrr... so if white 1 cost 1k, mean tis 1 is 500... hmm... u gimme a guideline lah...

hehe white one is 1600 for a average condtion one andmaybe 1800+ for a like new one...if its possible to find at all...

second that... the big word here is "IF YOU CAN FIND ONE"

Well, I general get better price selling it in Sydney, but thought I would offer it to fellow CS first...

The High Speed refers to like the diagram i post earlier...
They change the travel distance of the lens...as far as the quick comparison some time back -

Something like...
The black one would be on the left and the new HS one on the right. It take s more spindle turns to turn from infinity to close focus for the older one.

rgds,
sulhan

wow nice illustration:)

thanks sulhan..

Series 1 - Black old one
Series 2 - white new one
:embrass:

not sure which is which, but feel like series 2 is slightly better than series 1 @ f/5.6 & 8.0.

How does it achieve HS without using SSM? How significant is HS over non-HS?

#1: HS
#2: non-HS

Some gearing change apparently. but according to some users it sucks battery power. Anyone can elaborate? ^^ I'd love to own one of those. hehe
