1. How about lets arrange some session for him to meet up every sunday and
join the learning and teaching lesson..provided he will blanja all the meals.
a. breakfast then tea break
b. lunch then tea break
c. dinner

2. maybe accomodate meeting room at Shangrila hoter with free accomodation for ClubSnap
members..

Maybe it's more practical for TS to restrict to a narrower scope first? Just focus on theory and practical in a couple of areas out of so many possibilities like time lapse, astro, macro, portrait, studio, wildlife, street, product, wedding, sports, travel, etc, etc,... :think:

In photography.. it is a skill. It is important to keep shooting and breaking your limitations. There will be a time when one will get stuck.

It is like Star Wars.... there will always be 2... a Master and an Apprentice.

It is important to have a good Master... a good Mentor.

This may be an affront to those of us who have been honing our craft for years .....can sense that some of you feel scornful of even such a request.... even me.... initially when I'd read his thread yesterday, I have to admit that I felt a little indignant.

In our minds ... well, at least mine... I was feeling "Been busting my chops for so long in photography and this punk comes in with a money-no-issue attitude and wants to do what ? Find a mentor to one-on-one tutor him to a level of competency in 2 months that took me YEARS to reach (and I not even there yet ?) ?"

TODAY, for someone to go from near-zero to competent (not top-of-class) within a mere 2 or a few months?

And in a single, couple or many genres ?

So, in short.... is it possible to do an ELIZA DOLITTLE given what's available today ?

The resources available are extremely accessible ... certainly that learning curve can be extremely steep and short these days with so many photo forums and online tutorials ........... vs. say, pre-2000

I say...... in a MUCH shorter time than vs the past yes I think thats possible.....but in 2 months through a one-on-one photography boot camp ? Possible ?

Discuss ..... and please refrain from taking veiled pot-shots at the TS.... we should actually thank him for seeding this discussion :thumbsup:
