Instead of worrying about NK, we should worry about...

DAP made a mistake to field Lim Kit Siang in Gelang Patah, Johore. This is the miscalculation. Johore is not Penang. Johoreans are not Penangites.

Race appeals less to the Chinese in Johore. Because Johorean Chinese basically care about economy and their own prosperity tied to Singapore. Some work in Singapore. Some benefit when Singaporeans spend in Johore. Some look forward to Singapore investment in Iskandar.

Have to be careful, its words like these that make the DAP looks like they are lackeys of Singapore...

Funny those comments from Najib. Its great if the chinese vote for MCA, but dangerous if they vote for DAP. Fact is, the Pakatan Rakyat is more multi racial & representative of all the races with PAS, PKR & DAP than Barisan National is now. With the "nails in the coffin" for MCA & MIC, BN is basically just UMNO who is representative of the malays only. The chinese in Johore had the chance to really chose who to represent them & they seize it!

So much for the extremist Perkasa top candidates & the support/endorsement from Mahatir, they lost big time.

Seems like you were the one with the mistake. LKS won.

Yes, I got that part (LKS won) wrong.

As expected, BN won. The overall BN victory result is good for Singapore.

Najib is a moderate leader. That is why SG & MLY can resolve the railway land issue. And SG can agree to invest in Iskandar.

Najib i/c of MLY is probably better for SG than Anwar i/c of MLY. With the latter, the situation is unpredictable. Once Anwar has power, people can change and things can be different.

Look at how Kedah was governed under the previous PAS admin. You know why they lost it.

As expected, Sabah and Sarawak is solidly BN. Have to thank the sultan of Sulu, who obliged to invade East MLY with his silly motley band of followers carrying small arms. Did they really think they can take over half of another country just like that?

However, it is not all celebrations for DAP.

In his press conference Najib and the whole group of powerful officials/ministers next to and behind him were solemn faced.
The words "Chinese tsunami" coming out of none other than the prime minister's mouth is serious.
There may be policy consequences for MLY Chinese. One way could be the MLY govt bend a bit more to appease.
Or another way could be that MLY govt want to teach them a lesson.

If you have nothing very important to deal in Malaysia within the next week or so; for your safety, try to remain in your home country or SG for a while. Next week is anniversary of May13. Tomorrow 8 May 2013 someone is calling for a mass rally. Situation can become volatile.

words of wisdom indeed. history might repeat itself.

anyways, it's now almost Malay vs Chinese in Malaysia; it doesn't matter if DAP is part of PKR. if UMNO stirs the hornets nest, there will be trouble.

Najib will be around for a while. After all he is Tun Razak's son.

Next MLY PM waiting in line some years down the road is his cousin, Hishamuddin the son of Hussein Onn.

This man, when he had the stranglehold on power, was called a pharaoh, arrogant, divisive, dictatorial. Those who supported him then kiss his hands & suck up to him because he held the power & dished out the goodies. His time is over. Funny he's the one who declare & condemn LKS a racist. Guess who outlast him & has the last laugh.

Main - Malaysia - Election 2013 results expose Dr M?s decline as a force @ Thu May 09 2013

This man doesnt know how to step down from the stage gracefully. So very glad that he is no longer in power & can only sound like a grumpy
dissatisfied old man.....

he is more powerful than PM najib. seriously.

......... you should really stop talking about malaysian politics ............
hishamudin lost his chance with his infamous keris-waving stunt, dpm muhiyidin and dr m's son mukriz are more likely candidates.
