The D3 body looks pretty well-used (messed up). Wonder what is the shutter count to get it to fail in this manner?

Nikon Sg never sell parts eversince. Nikon USA stopped selling parts to independent camera repair technicians/shops.
They will only sell to authorized service center.

3 shutter change = total of 4 shutters. So average of 600k per unit.
